Urgent Animals Of Hearne Hosting 7th Annual Find Somebunny To Love Event

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – This Saturday, starting at 11:00 a.m. at Harley-Davidson Ranch, you have the chance to find someone you love. The team needs $8-12,000 per month to care for animals that haven't found their forever homes.

"We try to provide all of these animals with all the veterinary care," says volunteer Cindy Craigen. “They are always spayed and neutered, they are always up to date on all the injections, heart care, everything they need. "We're just trying to make sure we find a good, safe and loving home."

This event will also help to buy materials for the orphanage. Urgent Animals from Hearne provides dogs with everything they need to care for them while in foster care.

"We help keep them healthy and safe and teach them to be good pets," says Crageen.

Approximately 95% of the dogs at Hearne Emergency Animals come from Hearne Animal Control at the highest capacity. Cagen says animal control is a vehicle for killing, so ensuring dogs are nurtured and adopted is paramount.

There will be several pups needing homes at the show on Saturday. You can get to know all three below.

Boots is 3-4 years old and Cragen describes him as a 100% good guy. The shelter doesn't know his specific breed, but he appears to be a lab/pit mix. He likes being inside and sitting on people's laps.

Otis is also looking for a forever home. He is about a year old and full of personality and energy.

There will be no on-site adoptions on Saturday, but attendees can begin the adoption or foster process. All you have to do is connect with Hearne Ambulance on Facebook.

As well as meeting adorable puppies, the event will also feature DJs, silent auctions, vendors and food trucks. There will also be an opportunity to take photos of the Easter Bunny for a $10 donation. You just need to provide your own camera.

The event will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at The Ranch Harley Davidson's new location, 4115 Texas 6 Frontage Road in College Station.
