City of Saint Prairie. A fire Friday destroyed a barn on the States brothers farm in Sun Prairie, but no people or animals were injured.
Firefighters from several neighborhoods responded to the blaze, officials said, and the barn quickly collapsed. At 18:00, an excavator was working at the scene, clearing the debris.

It was a shed with hay stalks and corn inside, said owners Joe Statz and his wife, Lisa Statz. Joe said he believed the fire started with a tractor inside the building and completely destroyed the building.
There were about 120 animals on the other side of the fence and they were displaced by the fire, but no one was hurt. The worker saw the fire and reported it.
"Bales, we spent a lot of time and effort getting them into the barn. But if we lose everything, we're happy. No cattle, no one hurt, that's all that matters," Joe said.

The characters live across the street from the farmhouse and watched the crew from their front door for a while, with the Christmas lights still on.

Part of VV was closed on Friday evening while firefighters worked to extinguish the flames.
