This Indoor Smart Garden Became A Part Of My SelfCare Practice

As much as I enjoy seeing plant parents on social media (mostly on TikTok, it seems like a lot of fun there) looking at their award-winning collection of greenery, I haven't caught a thing yet. Especially now that I live in my own apartment, I thought that my desire to be my own dedicated herbalist would immediately ignite and Home Depot would become my second home. However, this is not the case.

I have come to terms with the fact that I am often too busy and too lazy to remember to take care of plants. I knew it would be a fun hobby if I got involved, but trying to figure out where to start gave me trouble until I completely gave up on the idea. So when I got the chance to try the Smart Gardener, an indoor grow system that provides everything you need to grow, I had to see if it was right for me.

In the year Since the creation of their Smart Garden in 2012, Click and Grow have perfected their technology and created many smart indoor gardens for a variety of spaces. Inspired by urban living, Click & Grow is proud to offer busy city dwellers an efficient way to enjoy fresh indoor plants, herbs and flowers year-round. Studies show that indoor plants can significantly improve mental health, air quality, and reduce stress in people living in big cities, so you can imagine the curiosity that came from my tiny Brooklyn apartment.

As someone who has missed several therapy sessions, I can use all the help I can get. And I have to say, watching the green grow for four weeks on the Smart Garden 9 ($161, actually $230) put me in a good mood and it was an overall fun ride. I'm so excited to eat my first homemade Caesar salad! I chose the Salad Lover's Set ($84, originally $120). Nutrient-dense legumes and smart soil plant seeds make romaine lettuce, lettuce and red cabbage, but there's more to try. Read my honest review of this clever garden and why I think it's for food lovers and gardeners of all levels.

What I love about Click & Grow

The Smart Garden consists of two parts: a water tank and an LED ceiling light for salad lovers. I added pods in nine pod containers. Thanks to the garden's clever design, the pods are self-watering and point to the tank when they need to be refilled. I love how easy it is to set up - a true set and forget situation. Even the minor maintenance required - cleaning harmful molds and algae on the dirt and filling the water tank - can be done in 5-10 minutes and will not spoil the experience.

For a non-plant person, watching a plant grow "naturally" helped me understand gardeners and gardeners. A clever garden inspires me. I found myself looking at the plants more often than I thought I would, and I looked even in the little pods for light growth and small changes. It really made me feel accomplished and definitely lifted my spirits every day.

Even my landlord (who immediately came to accept the rent) inspected the garden and explained in detail the importance of watching things grow in their own time, describing the process as meditative and relaxing. After hearing this, I took a deep breath every time I gardened and made the routine part of my daily self-care routine.

Things to consider about clicks and promotion

My clever garden originally sat on a bookshelf in the living room away from the window. The first night I realized how bright the light was - it automatically turned on at 16 hours of "sun" and turned off at eight hours, so I had to sleep with the bedroom door closed so that he could not see. I moved the garden closer to the window so she wouldn't see the light while she was sleeping and the plants would get natural light. Tip: The Smart Garden comes in five different sizes, so make sure you have a sturdy and level space for the garden.

As mentioned above, white mold and green algae can appear on the pods, but this is completely normal. The company pointed out in a Q&A that since the plants stay in water for long periods of time, they can accidentally drown. At first I kept mine in a dark place, but after moving the pot into natural light and wiping the moldy top with a paper towel, I didn't see any mold.

Also, three of my eggs didn't germinate at all, which seems to be normal even for traditional plants because some seeds just don't germinate. The best thing about Click & Grow is that it is sensitive to this situation, so if customers encounter their fake seeds, the company will send new replacement seeds for free.

Who is Click and Zoom for?

The Click & Grow Smart Garden is a great addition to the home of both beginners and seasoned plant lovers. For those involved in traditional farming, this is the perfect way to have a hassle-free experience. This is a great addition to the home for those who want to enjoy the greenery at home to brighten up the space; This minor maintenance is only worth improving the air quality. A smart garden can be a sophisticated home appliance for any active cook or professional chef – having fresh greens and vegetables in your own kitchen feels like flexibility to me.

Additional Information

Depending on the plant you choose, you have complete control over how much you can grow. You can choose from the smaller Smart Garden 3 ($70, originally $100), which has three holes (also just the right size for kids to work on their own), or the larger Smart Garden 27 ($650, originally $990). From the Click & Grow Plant Stand (four-foot tall) and Three Smart Garden 9. And of course, if you have the money and space, you can buy the Wall Farm Indoor Permanent Garden ($2,500). A wall with three shelves with 51 holes for growth.

Is click and zoom worth the money?

Like any garden, smart gardens keep on giving. And with the way inflation is going, any free meal is a win. As the food and plants in the garden continue to grow, the price seems less scary.

Compared to other brands like Garden Home, the price justifies the amount of money you save when buying fresh vegetables, fruits, herbs, spices and flowers.
