Top 2023 Interior Design Trends, According To Home Decor Experts

We will say it once, we will say it again. If you're in the mood to renovate, it's your sign to give your home some life and vitality.

We immediately discussed the top interior design trends expected to be at the fore in 2023 with home decor experts.

Nick Lewis, an interior designer with nearly 400,000 YouTube subscribers, summed up the trends for 2022, saying, "We've seen a big push toward modernity." I witnessed a shift away from cold grays and silvers and more towards beiges and browns.

This is the style of 2022, combined with organic shapes and natural materials.

Of course, the fact that something is popular this year does not mean that it will be forgotten in 2023. Interestingly, Lewis predicts that more homeowners will design their furniture with bolder, more saturated colors.

"High-end millennial style has gotten a lot of attention in recent years, but I think 2023 will be more sophisticated and mature with a bit of a difference," he said. "So we'll be looking at bolder, more saturated colors in the future."

What color exactly? Green will continue to be popular, though Lewis recommends looking for terracotta, russet, and other shades that work well.

"Dust rose is also making a comeback as a more sophisticated cousin to the millennial pink we saw a few years ago from the '90s," she said.

Along with a fresh and dynamic color palette, Lewis previews the following interior design trends for 2023:

Antique and antique decoration . Whether it's antique brass lamps or antique furniture, people are mixing their new furniture with antique furniture more than ever.
Calm and simple pillows . People want their pillows and upholstered furniture to be better integrated into their paintings and other styles. Colorful pillows on a boring sofa will look old fashioned.
Marble tiles and kitchen decoration . Bold marble with plenty of veining and movement would be a popular way to make a statement in a new kitchen.
Large butler style kitchen cabinet. Hidden pantries and butler-style pantries will be popular in larger homes where people still want the benefits of an open concept but have a clutter of hiding places.
Create a bedroom oasis . With the pandemic, the focus is on creating a sanctuary for yourself in a chaotic world, and bedding is a big part of that.
