Animals We Haven't Seen A Pokemon Based On Yet

After nine generations and nearly a thousand designs, it's surprising that there are still creatures that can't catch up to Pokemon. Some of the world's most mysterious creatures have inspired designs since Pokemon's inception, but there are still some obvious options that haven't been introduced yet.

Although there are Pokémon based on Chandler and some inspired by extinct animals, the talented masters have yet to find a llama or platypus. In honor of the lost ideal of pocket monsters, Game Freak characters look forward to kitchen appliances. (Don't get me wrong. Rotom can be permanent.)

Updated on January 21, 2023 by Dexter Adams: With the release of Scarlet and Violet, Nintendo has once again created a new batch of uniquely designed Pokemon. This time we even have a Pokemon Dolphin. However, there are plenty of real-world entities to look forward to when Nintendo finds inspiration. Hopefully a few of the other creatures on this list will be Gen X-approved.

mantis shrimp

Game Freak is no stranger to designing Pokemon after shellfish. Actually, Clover Line and Anorite have Shrimp Pokemon. However, Nintendo's Shrimp-based Pokemon has nothing on the Mantis Shrimp.

Unlike the common shrimp, the mantis shrimp is a scavenger, eating small fish, snails, crustaceans, and even crustaceans. FkmnOfficial combines ghost shrimp and glassblowing elements to come up with a cool explanation for how Pokemon are based on these amazing arthropods. Writing with fire may indicate that the animal was beating rapidly to generate heat and light.

Chitons are unidentified organisms, a subspecies of molluscs with a shell composed of eight separate plates. Like the wood louse, this creature can curl up into a ball when moved from its home. However, what makes these creatures truly remarkable, such as the Jewel Eyed Spirit, is that their "eyes" are made of crystal.

The eyes of these animals are smaller than humans, and chitons are very good at distinguishing the shadows of predators from the clouds that cover the sun. Tubz_AZ's Jemineye perfectly describes what this strange Pokemon creature looks like. The various gems on this Pokemon's back may be a reference to the many slag asteroids.

Although Pokemon Goose has been released over the years, it's strange that Nintendo didn't design after Goose. Geese may be one of the most famous birds in the world, but the Frigatebird had its own Pokemon before that. There is even a children's game about the aforementioned waterfowl. not fair!

Fortunately, Darkwindy has rectified this complaint with Guzarin. This aquatic, mythical Pokémon is inspired by the way geese are often depicted in animated children's movies. Fakemon's sweet and caring personality makes her the perfect nanny for any wealthy family.

opossum

The concept of a dead or playing opossum is a worldwide expression. This expression comes from the opossum's tendency to die when confronted by a predator. This connection between opossums and death is a design typical of ghost-type Pokemon, so it's a shame Nintendo didn't think of it.

Tubz_AZ is back with a Pokemon figure based on an opossum. This type of regular ghost is inspired by Shakespeare, specifically the scene in Hamlet where the main character encounters a skull.

goblin shark

The goblin shark is one of the strangest creatures to grace the earth. Deep sea sharks have pink skin and long, flat noses that make them easily distinguishable from other sharks. However, this shark is known for its clawing abilities. This is an unusual method of hunting and they are much smaller than sharks.

Nintendo would do well to add this shark to their Pokemon roster, especially since they have a collection of Sharpedo and Gible. Dark Windy's goblin shark huggable, Pokemon captures the animal's ferocity perfectly. Moreover, the artist's eccentric but tough look gives this painting even more character.

musk ox.

Most of the animals and pets are created in Pokemon. Bouflant - buffalo, Miltank - cow, tauros - ox, etc. However, he has never seen a true depiction of a musk ox.

These furry, horned creatures are large arctic monsters that can spawn large Pokémon. As an Ice-type, Mammothswine may seem too close, but it can be implemented in a number of ways, such as Bange-type Poison and Ground-Type Pokemon. The description of the poison should correspond to the pungent smell of the musk ox. Maybe the first Ice & Poison Musk.

llama

Llamas and alpacas cemented their status as internet memes for a reason, but they never made it into the Pokemon world. Game Freak has shown a knack for putting funny "memes" or designs into games, from Morpeko's Hungry mode to Alolan Dogtrio's cool button mashing.

However, llamas (and alpacas) are not fully utilized. Artist T-James demonstrates how to use Sausage's oft-forgotten seasonal mechanical llama, which is in desperate need of a comeback.

capybara

The largest rodent and the strangest little man is the South American cave capybara. These social animals live in large groups and are known to be great swimmers.

These giant mice can spawn large Pokemon that use water and even natural types as their main terrain methods. However, artist Arti Axlotl shows how Capybara Pokemon can have different forms for their elemental types, creating a very cool moon.

Platypus

There are stray creatures that are even stranger than Pokemon in the real world. One of them is the famous duck-billed platypus, one of only two mammals that lay eggs.

Early researchers thought the platypus was a hoax because it looked like a strange mix of other animals, beavertails, duckweed, camel carcasses, and even venomous animals. These creatures would be an obvious choice for Water-type Pokemon, but they can also be Poison-type. Artist Alecaironi shows his imagination by designing this water genre.

puffer fish

The blue fish is the worst creature that the world mercilessly laughs at. This jellyfish lives in the dark depths of the ocean and is found around Australia and New Zealand. Their ugly appearance is actually determined by how they look from the water, and their normal appearance in their native habitat is less frightening.

But this ugliness has become creative and creates great Pokemon. InProgressPokemon shows us what a Psychic type looks like, but Water, Spirit, and even Dragon could work.

scooter

Once you've found a bluefish, a one-minute detour into the open sea can lead to a porpoise or scootopline. These strange creatures are sea cucumbers from several different species, but they look very strange.

Of course, this is an obvious water type choice, but why not choose something a little more fun? The ability to break through the ocean floor can make them Earth-type, or as the artist shows, they can be Fantasy-type.

dingo

From Growlithe and Mightyena to Snubbull, Lillipup, and Houndour, there's no shortage of dog-based Pokemon and other dog-like creatures (and more). However, there is still no Pokemon based on the popular Australian dog Goofy.

Dingoes are like wolves or domestic dogs - in theory. The only Pokemon that resembles a dingo is Noon Lycarc, but Gen 7 Rock's type is likely based on the extinct monsters of Hokkaido. Artist Fakemans shows us what some land dingoes look like.

As well as dogs, there are many bird-based Pokemon, from toucans to parrots and chickens. But the hummingbirds obviously didn't see the Pokemon design inspired by them.

Hummingbirds are amazing creatures, they flap their wings at truly incredible speeds and fly faster than you can see. This incredibly fast stat can make for some very interesting Pokémon. The Prism Knit artist shows us what a fairy/flying hummingbird looks like, but electric might be a better option, even at top speed.

We appreciate griffsnuff on deviantArt for showing more Wolverine Pokemon options than we expected. Actually, this entry was supposed to be about the creature, remember we're not talking about the famous Marvel superhero, let Game Freak go that route.

Instead, this fearless Pokemon creator shows us a fire-type starter with sharp claws without the Pokemon named after the super-popular creature.

cheetah

Something strange happens when leopards are mentioned as a prime candidate for a Pokémon adaptation. Someone decided to respond by reporting that there were leopards somewhere. Yes, we cannot deny it. There is actually a Pokemon named Leopard. Instead of choosing the best cheetah fan ideas on the web, we've included a photo of them.

Cheetah is a yellow-purple Pokemon with pink rims around the eyes. It really depends on the tiger. Although tigers are majestic animals, leopards are not. Many people love tigers. Many people love cheetah. Most of us like both. But the cheetah is the fastest land animal on earth. It's a mystery within mysteries that this fact has yet to be discovered for at least one Pokemon design. March
