The 51st annual Lincoln, Nebraska Home & Garden Builders Show promises to be one of the largest in years.
The event features more than 200 vendors at the Lancaster Event Center, featuring homebuilding and home improvement businesses specializing in everything from landscaping and hot tubs to banking and financial services.
Michaela Harrison, executive vice president of the Lincoln Home Builders Association, which hosts the event, said this year's show has attracted several companies that are relatively new to the industry.

"It's a great way for them to build their business," Harrison said. "Our people say they get annual leads after the show."
Matt Firestone, owner of Concrete Craft in Lincoln, confirmed this value. The decorative flooring business made its first appearance at the annual show in 2021, just weeks after opening. Firestone says they haven't looked back since.
"We had a lot of success the first year, and every year we get a little better," Firestone said.
While interest rates remain high and inflation drives up costs, Firestone says his company hasn't experienced a significant drop in business, attributing its success in part to the luxury of its services and a change in culture over the past few years.
“Part of that is still happening with COVID. People spend more time at home. they want to enjoy their space,” he said.
Bill Kuhlman had a booth at Kuhlman Construction Inc. "Home and Garden" has been at the exhibition for almost three decades. While existing home sales have slowed over the past year, new home sales are still up significantly from pre-pandemic years. According to Kuhlman, one reason for this is that most people who build new homes have a lot invested in their current home.
"People who build houses like this stay pretty solid," he said.
The exhibition will last until Sunday.
