Get ready for spring and celebrate the season.
From Saturday, March 11 through Sunday, April 9, the San Diego Botanical Garden will host the third annual Orchid World Orchid Show this spring .
The exhibition takes place in the 8,000 square meter modern glass room of the Dickinson Family Education Conservatory, with award-winning creative director Rene van Riems in the garden. The third year in a row.
Orchid World tickets include a day or annual pass and tickets can be purchased from February 1st.
"There is no more attractive plant than the orchid," said Ari Novi, the garden's president and CEO. "We are delighted to present our third annual world-class orchid exhibition." Each week of the exhibition, renowned florist René van Reems will design a new exhibition that will delight our visitors with the unique sights, scents and magic of orchids.
The floral arrangements include stunning specimens of orchids, native hybrids and rare species plants presented in a unique and unexpected way. In addition to the many orchids grown in the greenhouse, the exhibit includes loans from private growers from two local groups, the San Diego County Orchid Society and the Palomar Orchid Society, as well as orchids and planting material. . .
On certain days of the show, vendors offer orchids and unusual and unique goods for sale.
The park is open Wednesday through Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Members get free entry. Admission for non-members is $10 to $18. Reservations are required
Admission to the show includes access to the retail stands and the remaining 37 acres of parkland on the same visit.
