The annual show is West Houston's largest home and garden show with over 200 booths. This year's event will be held March 25-26 at the Katy ISD Ag Center, 5801 Katy Hockley Cut Road in Katy.
Company President Robin Cade said it was developed by RJC Productions to bring Katy and West Houston residents a great show without having to travel to the city.
"We've all heard the horror stories about how you pay the contractor and leave town and not do your job," Kidd said. "One of the great things about a consumer show is that you can come to meet the service providers and take pictures before you invite them to your home. You can see the work that has been done.
This event gives buyers an opportunity to see trusted contractors covering all aspects of a home project. Kidd said the supplier adheres to strict standards in its business.
"We want to make sure they're really reliable service providers and that a lot of them have been with us for a long time," Kidd said.
Guests can also see the latest home trends on display, including brandominiums, spacious metal buildings that don't require traditional wood construction. Visitors to the exhibit will be able to learn about the construction process, meet builders and designers, explore financing options, and see products used in Pardominium construction.
"I worked with America's leading paradominium designer, Stacey Lane, and one of the best paradominium builders in the country, Josh Powell," Kidd said. "There is so much to see and discover in the Barandu Expo area."
Additionally, the RV Zone is a new attraction that offers something for everyone, whether you're a beginner or a veteran. Guests can find ideas and inspiration as they explore mobile homes and trailers.
"Another thing that's always been around is motorhomes, but after the pandemic, more and more people are buying motors and choosing to go that way instead of staying in hotels. Motorhome sales have increased from 2020 to 2022." "In the show we have a mobile home area. And they have different mobile homes that people can come out and look at. I'd say if you're looking for things for your home or 'out of your home.'
In addition to the hot new attractions, Kidd said this year's show will feature a never-before-seen lineup of 42 new, top local home improvement companies.
Most of the companies are from the Katy and Houston area. We have a lot planned this year.
Katy District children have the opportunity to develop business skills this year with over 20 students aged 6-17 selling unique products at the Young Entrepreneurs Market. Students learn to think like entrepreneurs and think about everything from product pricing to product ROI, including bookmarks, bird feeders, soap, jewelry, candy, toys, puzzles, apparel, candy, and soda.
"I like it because you support so many new entrepreneurs," Kidd said.
