The country's largest union of border guards says the White House is presenting a veiled picture of the immigration crisis on the US-Mexico border that is "far from reality".

The National Border Patrol Council, which represents around 18,000 officers, took to Twitter on Saturday to thank "some outstanding journalists" who regularly cover the officers' ongoing struggle to stem the migrant flow, but said "propaganda" from the Guardian. White House. dominate the story.

"The amount of coverage of the chaos at the border by some journalists is astonishingly far from fully reflecting what really happened," the NBPC said. “Trust the White House propaganda, or trust the agents who patrol the border around the clock and watch in person.”

For them, the choice is simple: "Believe the preachers or believe the facts."

Then, the NBPC shared a tweet from Griff Jenkins of Fox News in which he said that journalists covering the immigrant crisis can be criticized, but that doesn't make their reporting any less true.

“If someone is reporting the truth about what happened at the border and is falsely attacked and stigmatized by extremist idiots into silence, does that make what he is reporting less true?” NBPC asked in another tweet.

Southern Border Meetings to reach 1,000,000 mark in 2023, beating last year: Source

In fiscal 2023, the number of encounters with migrants at the southern border passed the one million mark, an unprecedented pace of encounters, multiple Customs and Border Protection (CBP) sources told Fox News.

On Friday, the number of migrants encountered at the border for the fiscal year that began in October was 1,008,217.

That number far exceeds fiscal year 2021, when there were more than 1.7 million meetings in total.

That's still well above the 2022 share, which is well below the one million mark of 839,819 people as of March 1, for a total of more than 2.3 million.

The number of affected officers, which topped one million earlier this year, increased again in the spring as warmer weather and more comfortable conditions made crossing the border more attractive.

"The officers admit to driving across the agency, and the department will celebrate two months less expense than admitting to the difficult task they have been given due to the preventable historical situation at the border," a Fox News customer said.

President Biden has called on Congress to pass immigration reform to provide border security and amnesty for the millions of immigrants already in the United States.

The question of America's borders will not be decided until Congress makes a decision. If we do not accept my sweeping immigration reform, let us at least accept my plan to provide the tools and personnel to secure the borders. "It is a path to citizenship for dreamers, temporary status workers, farm workers and essential workers," Biden said in his address to Congress.

At the border in Arizona, the legal committee knows those responsible for the mass development of immigrants

Earlier this week, Republican lawmakers visited the US southern border with Yuma, Arizona Mayor Douglas Nichols, who welcomed the state's leaders' chance to see firsthand the unfolding crisis.

The Democratic representative disapproved of the trip, calling instead a "cascading stunt".

"The interest of members of the Republican Judiciary Committee this week is important in changing some opinions and opening some discussions," the mayor said.

Nichols noted that a Democratic delegation will visit "later this month or next month" where he hopes to provide them with similar information about the border.

"This is the thing about educating people so that when they go into decision mode, they see there's a real problem that needs to be solved," he added during an interview with Fox News Live.

The Biden administration, including Secretary of State Majorkas, claims the southern border is under control and largely denies there is a crisis.
