The stunning Oakland townhouse featured at Better Homes & Gardens on a sprawling lot with a private pool, beach and waterfall has sold for $2.3 million.
About 10 minutes from downtown Rochester, down a cul-de-sac, is the 920 Pine Needle Trail listed by Douglas Rahaim and Lauren Rahaim of DOBI Real Estate in Birmingham.
A guardhouse along the cliff face at the front of the property leads to an incline that passes a 22 foot deep pond with trout and bass in turquoise water. There is also an 11 foot deep beach and a cave with a beautiful waterfall that pours over 2500 gallons of water per minute.

The current owners are the second family to occupy this three story, four acre home, built in 1999.
“They have invested over $1 million in this property. They added a dam. ... It's more like a glorified lake," said Lauren Rahaim, who also noted that more than 100 trees and boulders were added to the lush landscape.

At the rear of the home is a two-story custom kitchen that makes a dramatic statement with a clean custom look overlooking the private back porch and attached patio. The kitchen was featured in Better Homes & Gardens magazine in 2003.
"The design is a traditional mix of European farmhouse sinks and faucets with a modern twist," reads the magazine article.
Many windows in the adjacent dining area with washed wood and muted colors. Distressed marble floors set the tone for the space, with slatted cabinets, white cabinets, casement windows on solid doors that run the length of the ceiling, a custom corner counter, a second sink on the island, and the space is two stories high.
